Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do you accept gently used stuffed animals?

A: Yes. We accept small donations of gently used stuffed animals (10-15). Many of the organizations we donate to do not accept gently used stuffed animals and we thus have few outlets to give these animals. Please contact us before donating gently used stuffed animals.

Q: Can I mail donations of stuffed animals and fleece?

A: Yes. Email us for our address and you can ship donations there.

Q: Where do the stuffed animals go?

A: We donate stuffed animals to fire/police stations, hospitals, foster care groups, homeless shelters, and schools. We also provide small stuffed animals for mission trips. Our buddies have been donated in two counties in North Carolina (Mecklenburg and Union) and in Nicaragua.

Q: Are you a registered nonprofit?

A: No. After reading material on nonprofits in North Carolina, we made the decision to not register. It is recommended that all organizations that make over $25,000 per year register. Since we do not come close to that figure, we felt it better not to become a registered nonprofit.

Q: What is a medium sized stuffed animal?

A: Medium-sized stuffed animals are about 10 to 20 inches tall. Our rule of thumb is that it needs to be big enough to hug and to wrap in a small blanket. We do accept smaller stuffed animals for our Card Buddies, and a limited number of large animals for use in schools as reading buddies.

Q: How can I make superhero hats and blankets?

A: Contact us if you are interested in making superhero hats or blankets and we will send you the pattern!
